I'm here and some recent projects

I have been meaning to blog for a while, but I got caught up reading and I forgot all about life!! I should post a picture of my kitchen to prove my point!

Anyways, I will probably post a few posts...just to get caught up!

I have been in a sewing/craft mood lately! Well for about the last 6 months. I figured I would post some of my "finished" products!

PROJECT #1

I was blog hopping and this blog showed something similar to this...and my mind started circulating and I made these cute onesies (I forgot the original blog :()

These were really easy. I just grabbed some digital scrapbook embellishments and then I printed them on Iron-on transfer paper (make sure you print the image reversed) and then I just ironed them on to some old onesies I had...just to see if they were cute.

Here are 2 of my favorites:

Here is all of them:

You can use any clip art, or pictures...and it was SUPER easy!

PROJECT #2

My friend had made some of these pumpkins and I LOVED them. SO, 9 months after the fall I decided to start them. I have made two...but they are fun. There was a tutorial, but it has been taken off the web. But you can go HERE to see inspiration...and maybe next time I start working on them I will make a new tutorial. Because they are adorable and cheap to make!

All I need to do is tie ribbon around the stems for leaves and make enough to fit across my mantle...I will post the pictures this fall when they go up!

PROJECT #3

Ruffle-butt onesies.

My friend is having a girl and I made these for her shower! Thankfully she loves them as much as I do and they were a hit. HERE is the tutorial I followed...

I started with these onesies (from Target)

I used my serger for the edges of the ruffles, if I owned pinking shears I would have used them...maybe I will have to steal (I mean borrow for a long time) my mom's when I go to visit.

Here is the cute packaging I did! (I was impressed)

Project #4

I was letting will rip paper and glue it and I had this fun idea for a card.

Basically, I just glued ripped scraps on a 12x12 sheet (if you cut the paper to 8 1/2 x 11 it will save time later) and then after the paper was all covered I cut it into 4- 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 pieces.

I then glued it onto the front of the card. (to make a card you cut a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock (or cut a 12x 12 piece) in half lengthwise...and just fold each piece in half)

You can then further embellish as you want.

Project #5

I love the ties on the onesies...I no longer have a baby in onesies so I made them for a friend who had a little boy.

I used this tutorial. They are super easy and I zig-zaged around the outside...I thought it was cute.

I do have some others, I just forgot to take pictures...so when I get to that point...I'll post.
